The Student Supports Coordinator will focus on creating and aligning interventions with student needs and behaviors, utilizing restorative and equitable practices. Based in a Community Middle School in the Bronx, this role involves working collaboratively with Children’s Aid and school staff to support students and families.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a school-wide behavior and attendance tracking system and assign interventions based on the data.
- Create behavior plans for Tier 2 and Tier 3 students and monitor their progress.
- Facilitate Tier 1, 2, and 3 restorative interventions, including individual and social skills groups.
- Collaborate with Success Mentors, Social Workers, Parent Coordinators, and school staff to address student needs and connect families to resources.
- Participate in Attendance, PBIS, and MTSS teams.
- Assist in planning student and parent events, conduct outreach to families regarding behavior and attendance, and support monitoring of school common areas.
- Promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree OR a High-School Diploma/GED with 2-3 years of relevant experience in student services.
- 1-2 years of experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and Google Suite, with the ability to learn new online platforms.
- Willingness to work with an academic, socio-economic, and culturally diverse population.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.

- Compensation: $25.27 - $27.47 per hour.
