The Toyland Intern will gain hands-on experience in donor relations at Haven House, the only licensed domestic violence shelter in Erie County. Working with the Public Relations and Development team, this role focuses on supporting the Toyland holiday donation drive and assisting with fundraising activities for survivors of domestic violence. This internship is unpaid and intended for college credit.
What you'll do#
- Assist in donor cultivation and manage donor portfolios.
- Communicate with donors via email and phone to coordinate scheduling.
- Maintain an accurate donation schedule and address donor inquiries.
- Utilize Raiser's Edge fundraising software to enter donor activity.
- Facilitate communication between the Development and Haven House teams.
- Support tabling and community education events during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in communications, marketing, fundraising, human services, public relations, or a related field.
- Enrollment in an internship program or eligibility to receive school credit for internship hours.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
