About the role#
This 16-month internship offers an opportunity to work within the Corporate Supply Chain team at Celestica. You will gain experience in commodity business practices, project management, and global site interaction while working in a collaborative team environment.
What you'll do#
- Maintain or research suppliers at the commodity level and analyze pricing trends.
- Create reports and presentations using Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Negotiate quote tenders with suppliers to establish costs and set pricing.
- Consolidate, tabulate, and analyze performance metrics and commitments.
- Support SCM buying teams during product shortages and assist in developing alternative sources.
- Help resolve customer issues related to product quality, serviceability, and performance.
- Run TCOO analysis and gain exposure to internal databases and SAP.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Business Administration program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management abilities and the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing, procurement, and electronics industries is considered an asset.
- Ability to work both autonomously and effectively within a team.
