About the role#
Capacity is seeking an IT Intern to join our team in North Brunswick, New Jersey. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position with a rolling term. We are looking for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering to gain hands-on experience in logistics and supply chain technology.
What you'll do#
- Respond to basic helpdesk tickets, calls, and emails.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues, including MFA, VPN, email, and printing.
- Support the setup and movement of workstations, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with inventory tracking of IT hardware, software licenses, and supplies.
- Perform basic data cabling tasks such as labeling and simple terminations.
- Support the Integrations team by testing partner requests and routing integration-related tickets.
- Assist in creating or modifying retailer EDI label templates.
- Participate in IT projects, including software rollouts, hardware deployments, and testing new tools.
- Research technical issues and document solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.
- Basic understanding of Active Directory and SQL skills.
- Knowledge of Zebra thermal label printer repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with remote support tools, virus removal, and data backup processes.
- Understanding of data wiring, hardware implementations, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with asset management and system monitoring software is a plus.
