IT Intern

About the role#

Capacity is seeking an IT Intern to join our team in North Brunswick, New Jersey. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position with a rolling term. We are looking for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering to gain hands-on experience in logistics and supply chain technology.

What you'll do#

• Respond to basic helpdesk tickets, calls, and emails.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues, including MFA, VPN, email, and printing.
• Support the setup and movement of workstations, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Assist with inventory tracking of IT hardware, software licenses, and supplies.
• Perform basic data cabling tasks such as labeling and simple terminations.
• Support the Integrations team by testing partner requests and routing integration-related tickets.
• Assist in creating or modifying retailer EDI label templates.
• Participate in IT projects, including software rollouts, hardware deployments, and testing new tools.
• Research technical issues and document solutions.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.
• Basic understanding of Active Directory and SQL skills.
• Knowledge of Zebra thermal label printer repair and maintenance.
• Familiarity with remote support tools, virus removal, and data backup processes.
• Understanding of data wiring, hardware implementations, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with asset management and system monitoring software is a plus.
