Finance Intern

About the role#

The Finance Intern will report to the Director of Finance at Capacity, gaining exposure to financial planning, reporting, and operational analysis within the logistics and supply chain industry. This position offers opportunities to contribute to financial models, budgets, and executive reporting while collaborating on special projects to assess workflow efficiency.

What you'll do#

• Interpret multi-layer client contracts to support client portfolio analysis and reporting.
• Create and audit monthly transaction histories based on period performance and contract terms.
• Assist with monthly closing activities to support timely reporting to Executive Management.
• Contribute to the preparation and analysis of revenue and expense budgets, financial models, and forecasts.
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and departmental reports.
• Collaborate with Senior and Executive Management on special projects to assess operational and financial data.
• Provide input and fresh perspectives to support the growth of the finance team.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP, Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is highly desirable.
• Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to prioritize workloads effectively.
• Ability to work in an environment with less structure, requiring an entrepreneurial mindset and excellent time management.
• Knowledge of supply chain, warehouse distribution, or logistics is considered a plus.
