About the role#
As an Internal Audit Intern, you will gain real-world experience by applying accounting and auditing principles to compliance, financial, and operational audits. Under the mentorship of the Manager of Internal Audit, you will learn about varied operational activities and take the lead on portions of individual audit projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the planning and execution of compliance, financial, and operational audits and special projects.
- Interact with mid-level management and staff to learn about business activities.
- Regularly communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Present oral and written results of audit activities to various levels of management.
- Explain policies and procedures to groups and individuals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program as a junior or senior.
- Preferred major in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Hospitality, with relevant coursework in accounting and auditing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be 21 years of age by the first day of the internship.
- Must be eligible for Casino Employee Registration in Louisiana and Mississippi.
