Facilities Tech I - Intern

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience in building maintenance and facilities operations. You will support the maintenance team in ensuring the property remains in top condition, assisting with both routine system checks and minor repairs. This role requires the physical ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor areas, and involves direct interaction with the facility infrastructure.

What you'll do#

• Perform minor maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs and replacing air filters.
• Conduct routine checks of utility systems to verify proper operation.
• Assist Facilities Mechanic II and III staff with ongoing repair and maintenance duties.
• Install and maintain promotional props, posters, and banners.
• Climb ladders and use equipment to manage indoor and outdoor signage.
• Relocate and arrange gaming tables, exhibits, and office furniture.

What you'll need#

• Current student pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering.
• Background knowledge in building maintenance fields such as HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, or electrical work.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to maintain high integrity and follow all regulatory and company policies.
• Physical capability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently (occasionally up to 90 pounds).
• Ability to perform tasks involving climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling in tight or high-altitude spaces.
• Comfort working in environments that may include loud noises, bright lights, dust, chemicals, or smoke.
