About the role#
The Quality Intern will support the quality department in ensuring adherence to standards and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2026 term based on-site in New Boston, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Ensure the timely implementation of corrective actions for customer issues, including 0-km and warranty concerns.
- Conduct regular warranty reviews to establish and maintain preventive measures.
- Facilitate error prevention, continuous improvement, and problem-solving processes using corporate tools.
- Update internal, customer, and supplier complaints within the SAP Quality Module and TopQ SharePoint.
- Perform ongoing process capability studies to validate characteristics.
- Evaluate failure risk analysis alongside production and development teams for new launches.
- Validate, document, and publish lessons learned, integrating them into plant standards and communicating with regional committees.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year university, with preference given to students in their second or third year.
- Preferred majors include Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
- Zero to three years of experience or training in Seat System Assembly.
- Knowledge of Quality and Environmental Systems, including IATF16949, TS16949, and ISO14001.
- Familiarity with AIAG standards, including PPAP, MSA, FMEA, and LPA.
- Proficiency in the SAP QM Module and Microsoft Office.
