IT Data Services Co-Op

About the role#

The IT Data Services Co-Op will work with the Application Data Services and Applications teams to build and enhance reports and dashboards using data from in-house and third-party SaaS applications. This role involves collaborating with business partners on requirements gathering and report validation, as well as supporting application development through specification writing and software testing. Approximately 50% of the time is dedicated to specific project work.

What you'll do#

• Develop or enhance dashboards in Power BI and reports using SSRS and Crystal Reporting Services.
• Identify internal and external data sources, build data pipelines, and query data using SQL.
• Gather requirements from the business and write specifications for application development work.
• Support the Applications Data Services and Applications Groups on various project initiatives.
• Create and maintain documentation.
• Assist with database maintenance, patching, and performance tasks.
• Conduct research on new technologies and products.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing coursework in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and the ability to write SQL statements.
• Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tool sets.
• Knowledge of API and Python frameworks to aggregate data from disparate sources.
• Ability to be detail-oriented, methodical in problem-solving, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
• Aptitude for learning new technical concepts and supporting new products.
