Bloomberg Associates, Sustainablity Fellow

About the role#

The Housing Team at Bloomberg Associates is seeking a Sustainability Fellow to support housing projects across multiple client cities. This role involves working on housing program development, needs assessments, and high-level strategic planning. This is a part-time, remote position with a six-month contract, requiring an average of 20 hours of work per week.

What you'll do#

• Conduct program research and interview municipal staff for housing program audits.
• Support the development of Housing Needs Assessments through data analysis, project management, and the creation of reports and presentations.
• Provide technical assistance for public-facing housing dashboards, backend data infrastructure, and governing standard operating procedures.
• Analyze municipal program impacts and develop policy or program case studies to guide client strategies.
• Coordinate with municipal interlocutors to maintain professional relationships and project progress.

What you'll need#

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Urban Planning, Public Health, Business Administration, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Communications, or Environmental Engineering.
• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in affordable housing, urban planning, or public/non-profit administration.
• Strong skills in project execution, policy research, and project management.
• Clear, concise writing abilities and the capacity to synthesize large amounts of information.
• Proficiency in conveying complex data through simple PowerPoint design; experience with Tableau is a plus.
• Ability to work with high-level stakeholders with discretion and professionalism.

• Location: New York, New York (Remote work modality).
• Term: Six-month contract.
• Schedule: Part-time, averaging 20 hours per week.
