Release Management Intern

About the role#

BHE Pipeline Group is seeking a Release Management Intern to join the corporate applications team. This full-time, paid summer internship offers exposure to technology projects within the energy industry. There is potential to continue on a part-time basis throughout the academic year.

What you'll do#

• Assist with planning, scheduling, and communicating software releases across multiple platforms.
• Support release managers in maintaining release calendars, deployment schedules, and change documentation.
• Prepare and distribute release communications, including schedules, deployment notifications, and post-release updates.
• Participate in change management processes, including Change Advisory Board (CAB) preparation and documentation.
• Monitor release completion and assist with post-release reporting.
• Perform data entry, metrics tracking, and maintenance activities within Azure DevOps.
• Update standard operating procedures, workflows, and documentation regarding lessons learned.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps.
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the team as needed.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college or university program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow defined processes.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• A basic understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile, or DevOps concepts is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, or Power Automate) is a plus.
