About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain knowledge of fundamental insurance concepts, including coverage and pricing, while developing an understanding of commercial auto insurance underwriting. This is a paid, on-site position based in Omaha, Nebraska. The schedule is flexible, requiring 15-30 hours per week during the school year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate risk acceptability by analyzing driver quality, loss history, and overall business operations.
- Identify and communicate potential issues to lead underwriters.
- Communicate pricing decisions to agents and respond to their inquiries.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Major in Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in basic math.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent grammar, proofreading, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
