Co-op or Intern, Financial Reporting & Insights

About the role#

This is a 4-month co-op or internship position within the Financial Reporting and Insights team at our Red Deer office. The role provides a comprehensive learning experience in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance, offering exposure to various aspects of accounting and client engagement.

What you'll do#

• Prepare tax returns for a variety of clients using technical knowledge.
• Contribute to tax compliance projects and assignments in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and respond to their requests and suggestions.
• Participate in business development initiatives and identify new opportunities with existing clients.
• Communicate progress updates and project issues to team members on an ongoing basis.

• Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program focused on accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to take initiative.
• A commitment to teamwork and a strong desire to provide outstanding client service.
