About the role#
The Gross Profit Task Force Intern will support strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, and supply chain operations for the Urology and Critical Care business. This role provides exposure to the full procurement lifecycle and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance to drive cost savings and operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Support sourcing activities for direct materials, components, assemblies, finished goods, and services.
- Assist with the development, issuance, and analysis of Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
- Conduct supplier market research, benchmarking, and identification activities.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding quotations, contracts, lead times, and performance expectations.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, commercial terms, payment terms, and Incoterms.
- Assist with contract administration, including tracking expirations and coordinating between stakeholders.
- Analyze supplier spend, pricing trends, and procurement metrics to develop cost savings analyses.
- Participate in New Product Development (NPD) sourcing activities and coordinate sample requests.
- Support logistics, customs clearance, and supply chain continuity projects.
- Create process maps, workflow documentation, and standard work instructions to improve procurement operations.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
