This is a part-time, hourly position supporting students with technical inquiries. You will act as a primary point of contact for students, providing assistance via phone, email, and chat. This role requires a high level of confidentiality and adherence to federal privacy regulations, including FERPA.
What you'll do#
- Assist students with technical issues across various platforms and tools.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and refer non-technical questions to the appropriate departments.
- Identify and coordinate second-level requests when special access is required.
- Maintain accurate files, records, and logs using internal tracking systems.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to resolve student issues.
What you'll need#
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows, Mac, and various internet browsers.
- Knowledge of technical support standards and customer service principles.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information.
- Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to handle phone, chat, and email communications concurrently.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position; however, employees are required to maintain a domicile in the State of Texas.
- This role is for the Summer 2026 term.
- Hours vary, with a maximum of 19 hours per week.
- Equipment for remote work is provided by the college.
