Digital Creator Intern

About the role#

The Digital Creator Intern will support the Marketing and Communications team at Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. This role focuses on building skills in digital content creation, social media engagement, visual storytelling, and nonprofit communications. The intern will assist with various projects including photo, video, and graphic design work based on their specific strengths and expertise.

What you'll do#

• Create digital content for social media platforms, including graphics, photos, videos, reels, and stories.
• Monitor social media channels and engage with the online community by responding to comments and encouraging conversation.
• Research current social media trends and propose creative content ideas that align with the organization's mission and storytelling goals.
• Support photo, video, and graphic design projects, such as event coverage, volunteer highlights, and homeowner stories.
• Assist with content planning, organizing digital assets, and preparing materials for social media, email, and website channels.
• Provide support for events, including capturing content and assisting with communications needs.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled student in a relevant educational program, such as Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Media Studies, or Journalism.
• Ability to work 15-20 hours per week, generally between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products and various social media platforms.
• A creative eye for digital content and a strong interest in social media trends and audience engagement.

Location & details#

• Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
• Modality: On-site, with potential for some remote work and occasional Saturday event coverage.
• Compensation: This is a paid internship.
• Term: Rolling basis, beginning in the fall and running through the end of the semester.
