Supply Chain Intern

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2026 based in Hernando, Mississippi. You will join the distribution hub operations team to gain hands-on experience with the logistics and supply chain processes that support independent supermarkets.

What you'll do#

• Manage inventory, coordinate shipments, and optimize logistics to ensure products move efficiently from suppliers to member retailers.
• Maintain the flow of goods required to keep retail shelves stocked.
• Gain direct exposure to all aspects of supply chain management.
• Travel to the AWG Support Center in Kansas City, Missouri, to deliver an end-of-year presentation to the executive leadership team.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Supply Chain Management major; junior or senior standing is preferred, though recent graduates are also eligible.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• High attention to detail, a willingness to ask questions, and the ability to follow up on tasks.
• Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour work week for the duration of the 10-week program.

• Location: Hernando, Mississippi (On-site).
• Term: May 26, 2026, to July 31, 2026.
• Compensation: $21 per hour.
• Work schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime.
