Store Design & Equipment Intern

About the role#

Associated Wholesale Grocers is seeking a motivated intern to join the Store Design team for a 10-week summer program. This position provides hands-on experience in retail site planning, store layout design, and project coordination. You will work alongside industry professionals to understand how real estate decisions and design strategies influence business growth and the customer experience.

What you'll do#

• Participate in retail site planning and store layout design projects.
• Engage in project coordination tasks under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Learn how strategic real estate and design choices impact overall business operations.
• Commit to a full-time, 40-hour work week, with the possibility of overtime as needed.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior student pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Ability to think creatively, solve problems, and maintain high attention to detail.
