About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in benefits administration and payroll operations. You will work with the People team to support compliance, data management, and daily administrative tasks, contributing directly to the employee experience.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the administration and management of employee Leaves of Absence (LOA), including data entry, documentation, and coordination with vendors.
- Support multi-state payroll compliance activities in the US, including the closure of state payroll accounts.
- Aid in the coordination and documentation preparation for annual 401(k) audits.
- Provide support for Canadian payroll processes, specifically regarding provincial taxation requirements and data verification.
- Conduct research on benefits and payroll compliance topics.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports as needed to support department operations.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- No prior professional work experience is required.
- A strong academic record is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing data.
- Proactive mindset with a desire to learn new concepts.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficient in G-Suite and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
