About the role#
Android Industries is seeking an Operations Intern to join the Lansing, Michigan facility. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role with a rolling term. The position focuses on supporting manufacturing operations through process improvement, safety initiatives, and administrative support.
What you'll do#
- Ensure compliance with company quality policies, values, and philosophies.
- Facilitate team member training, including onboarding and the creation of training content.
- Audit compliance to the versatility matrix and labor performance evaluations.
- Drive a strong safety culture and promote safety as a personal value.
- Assist with audit processes to identify gaps in policies and procedures, and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in staffing, scheduling, and daily 5S activities.
- Validate daily operational documents and communicate across facility departments.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year in an accredited Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Windows applications.
- Strong data-based decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan, prioritize work, and build positive relationships within a team.
- Previous work experience is preferred.
