This undergraduate co-op position offers students the opportunity to gain industry experience within a biotechnology research environment. The role runs from August 2026 to December 2026 and provides professional development through training, one-on-one mentoring, and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing teams to provide commercial support for packaging lines.
- Support the commissioning and qualification of new packaging lines.
- Work cross-functionally to identify operational problems and measure current performance states.
- Develop, present, and implement engineering recommendations.
- Network with colleagues and participate in Amgen’s Employee Resource Groups.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Completion of at least one year of study at an accredited college or university prior to the start of the internship.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must not be employed at the time the internship starts.
- Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.
