The Policy Intern will support the organization's efforts to advance clean energy through education, collaboration, and supportive finance. Reporting to the Director of Policy & Engagement, this role focuses on clean energy project finance, permitting, and the impacts of electricity demand growth. This is a paid internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on topics including clean energy finance, permitting, and electricity demand.
- Monitor and analyze legislation impacting clean energy investment and development.
- Draft reports, blog posts, fact sheets, and other supporting documentation.
- Participate in relevant ACORE conferences and webinars.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in fields such as Environmental Engineering, Political Science, Business Administration, Communications, Public Health, or Economics.
- Availability to work at least 20 hours per week throughout the fall semester.
- Demonstrated interest in the clean energy sector.
- Strong research, writing, and editing capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and take ownership of assignments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working within a team environment.
