About the role#

This position is designed to supplement your Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) education with direct aviation industry experience. You will work on-site to observe maintenance operations and gain practical knowledge of program procedures, technical documentation, and safety standards.

What you'll do#

• Observe aviation maintenance and program operations performed by experienced staff.
• Participate in live and online training courses.
• Learn Navy terminology, acronyms, technical libraries, and log and record systems.
• Gain familiarity with ground support equipment, aircraft components, tool control, and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) procedures.
• Study safety protocols and equipment used in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance environments.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current enrollment in the Del Mar A&P program with a maintained passing grade.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s license.
• Ability to meet all company and government certification, qualification, or clearance requirements.
• A basic understanding of A&P concepts and the ability to learn technical aircraft maintenance terminology.
