About the role#
Allen Lund Company is seeking an intern for the Summer 2026 term at our Orlando office. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in the transportation brokerage industry. Successful interns may be considered for future full-time employment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with load tracking, tracing, and ensuring app compliance.
- Gain experience in booking loads through training and exposure.
- Build loads, set up carriers, and schedule pickup and delivery appointments.
- Update customer systems and communicate active load information to shippers and carriers.
- Manage documentation, including sending files to Carrier Resources and verifying certificates of insurance.
- Call carriers to inquire about lanes, equipment types, and quantities.
- Answer phones, distribute calls to brokers, and support accounting and general office functions.
- Work toward building comfort and confidence when communicating with carriers over the phone.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Logistics or Business Administration.
- Strong customer service orientation and a self-motivated, enthusiastic team-player mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively and multitask in a busy office setting.
