About the role#
This is a paid HR Summer Internship for Summer 2026. You will provide administrative support for the People Operations team, focusing on employee experience, onboarding and offboarding, payroll, benefits, and HR records management.
What you'll do#
- Triage and respond to employee inquiries.
- Process, track, and archive confidential HR records in both paper and electronic formats.
- Research legislative changes and HR best practices to support policy development.
- Prepare employment agreements using established templates under the direction of the Team Lead, People Operations.
- Support payroll and benefits activities, including assisting with annual merit increases and Total Reward Statements.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and data modelling.
- Maintain employee records within the Learning Management System (LMS), Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS).
- Coordinate background checks and employment confirmations.
- Help execute company-wide new employee orientation sessions and participate in special HR projects.
What you'll need#
- Completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
- Enrollment in a Human Resources Management program is preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an environment with changing priorities.
- Strong motivation to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Ability to reliably commute to the London office as required for hybrid work.
