Pharmacy Student Intern

About the role#

This internship provides pharmacy students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy environment. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to support patient care, clinical services, and daily pharmacy operations.

What you'll do#

• Perform tasks under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor.
• Manage the prescription filling process in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Provide consultation and advice to customers and healthcare professionals regarding drug therapy, prescriptions, and health-related products.
• Participate in clinical services, including patient counseling, immunizations, MTM, and point-of-care testing.
• Implement company initiatives designed to increase pharmacy profitability.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
• A valid state intern license, if required by the state of employment.
• Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities.
• Strong cooperation skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
