Pharmacy Student Intern

About the role#

This Pharmacy Student Intern position offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting. Interns work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor to support patient care, pharmacy operations, and clinical services. This role is open to students pursuing degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health.

What you'll do#

• Perform all duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor.
• Manage the prescription filling process in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Provide consultation and advice to customers and healthcare professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health-related products.
• Participate in clinical services, including patient counseling, immunizations, vaccinations, point-of-care testing, and disease state management.
• Support company initiatives designed to increase pharmacy profitability.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
• A valid state intern license, if required by the state of employment.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules based on business and customer needs.
• Strong cooperative skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
