This is a full-time, paid internship for students in the Power Engineer Technology Program. You will work within a 24/7 industrial environment, gaining hands-on experience with hydrogen production processes and plant operations. You will receive guidance from training coordinators and full-time operations and maintenance staff throughout your assignment.
What you'll do#
- Control and monitor hydrogen production processes, including steam systems, compressors, rotating equipment, and DCS operations.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Instrument/Electrical Technicians to maintain plant equipment.
- Conduct field readings and perform routine equipment inspections.
- Participate in Basic Safety Training.
- Complete training in water treatment processes, including Reverse Osmosis, Softeners, and Ultrafiltration.
- Gain exposure to Steam Methane Reforming, Pressure Swing Absorption, and hydrogen compression.
What you'll need#
- Minimum 3.0 GPA in the Power Engineer Technology Program.
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
- Strong focus on safety.
- Proficient communication and digital literacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable transportation to and from the site.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
