    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship for students in the Power Engineer Technology Program. You will work within a 24/7 industrial environment, gaining hands-on experience with hydrogen production processes and plant operations. You will receive guidance from training coordinators and full-time operations and maintenance staff throughout your assignment.

    What you'll do#

    • Control and monitor hydrogen production processes, including steam systems, compressors, rotating equipment, and DCS operations.
    • Collaborate with Maintenance and Instrument/Electrical Technicians to maintain plant equipment.
    • Conduct field readings and perform routine equipment inspections.
    • Participate in Basic Safety Training.
    • Complete training in water treatment processes, including Reverse Osmosis, Softeners, and Ultrafiltration.
    • Gain exposure to Steam Methane Reforming, Pressure Swing Absorption, and hydrogen compression.

    What you'll need#

    • Minimum 3.0 GPA in the Power Engineer Technology Program.
    • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
    • Strong focus on safety.
    • Proficient communication and digital literacy skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Reliable transportation to and from the site.
    • Legal entitlement to work in Canada.

    • Locations: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta and Edmonton, Alberta.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Full-time, 12-hour rotating shifts.
