    About the role#

    This is a full-time, 12-week Quality Engineer internship for the summer of 2026. You will work on-site at the manufacturing facility in Sanford, North Carolina, collaborating with Manufacturing and Quality teams to refine operational processes and drive continuous improvement.

    What you'll do#

    • Establish sequences of operations for manufacturing, quality control, and continuous improvement processes.
    • Design improvements for material flow, transportation, and plant logistics, including the layout of carts, cabinets, and storage locations.
    • Support the development of projects such as Kaizen events, inspection methods, 5S improvements, and manufacturing planning.
    • Contribute to the implementation of Visual Factory techniques, utilizing AI to monitor and increase productivity on assembly lines.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering degree program.
    • Ability to interact effectively with production, operations, and quality departments to ensure performance, reliability, and adherence to customer requirements.
    • Capacity to support and assist CI and Manufacturing teams in project development and execution.
