EHS Intern

About the role#

The EHS Intern will assist in executing and facilitating environmental, health, and safety programs at Advanced Energy. This role focuses on eliminating workplace injuries, preventing property loss, and minimizing environmental impact by ensuring site-wide compliance with safety regulations and fostering employee awareness.

What you'll do#

• Assist in planning, implementing, and maintaining occupational health, safety, and environmental programs.
• Ensure site compliance with federal, state, and local laws through the implementation of safety control measures.
• Perform hazard assessments, including job hazard audits, and prepare recommendations for corrective actions.
• Support incident reporting and participate in investigations to identify root causes and preventive measures.
• Utilize EHS data management systems to collect and track incident, hazard, inspection, and sustainability data.
• Support the development of procedures for Corporate EHS management systems, including ISO14001 and ISO45001.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of safety culture development, hazard identification, and incident investigation processes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Detail-oriented and self-directed approach with strong organizational skills.
