Service Group - Intern

About the role#

This internship provides exposure to conceptual design, estimating, and project management within the Service Department. Under the direction of the Service Branch Manager and Service Project Managers, interns support the coordination and scheduling of various HVAC systems.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the preparation of sales proposals for new and existing customers to support profitable results.
• Document and follow up on leads and referrals.
• Confer with staff and customers regarding all project phases.
• Review contracts to ensure compliance.
• Interface with in-house engineers to review engineered drawings.
• Attend department meetings and assist with the timely submission of reports, including expense and sales reports.

What you'll need#

• Current coursework towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to flexible responsibilities.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers, field staff, management, and office personnel.
• A commitment to setting goals and meeting deadlines.

Location & details#

• Location: Pleasanton, California.
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, with shifts beginning between 7:00 am and 8:00 am and ending between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Physical requirements: The role occasionally requires climbing ladders, walking on roofs, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
