Therapist Intern

About the role#

This internship at Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital involves performing supervised individual, group, and family therapy, as well as crisis intervention and consultation. Interns assist with clinical operations while fulfilling educational requirements.

What you'll do#

• Assist clinicians in developing and implementing treatment plans with measurable, attainable goals based on clinical assessments and interviews.
• Support regular patient reviews by analyzing progress or setbacks and recommending adjustments to facilitate successful transitions.
• Complete clinical documentation under the guidance of a licensed clinician.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude, prioritizing patient safety and resolving complaints.
• Advanced students may have the opportunity to conduct assessments, perform crisis interventions, and facilitate patient groups.

What you'll need#

• Currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related counseling field from an accredited program.
• Eligibility for supervision leading to LCSW, LPC, or LCPC licensure.
• Required licensure or certification for counseling as mandated by the state.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training is available upon hire).
