This is a 12-month internship opportunity within the ZEISS Group, designed to provide exposure to various business segments and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will work across teams to review, refine, and optimize existing operational processes, contributing to projects that impact how the business functions.
What you'll do#
- Engage with various teams to understand current workflows and identify key operational challenges.
- Map and document existing processes to create clear, structured process flows.
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement within current systems.
- Facilitate collaboration between teams to align on best practices and consistent operational approaches.
- Analyze quality and operational data to identify trends and support improvement initiatives.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to track performance and key metrics.
- Support the definition and alignment of KPIs across departments and sites.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a degree program (Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A demonstrated interest in process improvement, quality, and operational excellence.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- A basic understanding of data analysis and visualization.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.
