Accounting Intern

About the role#

The Accounting Intern will join the Strategic International Companies (SIC) team to gain hands-on experience supporting global accounting operations. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside senior accountants, receive mentorship, and gain exposure to consolidation, tax returns, and intercompany loan processes.

What you'll do#

• Assist in preparing period close journal entries for US and local GAAP across various legal entities.
• Reconcile cash and other accounts for smaller SIC entities.
• Ensure accurate revaluation of ending balances to reflect foreign exchange (FX) exposure.
• Maintain accounting records for intercompany loan activity and collaborate with the Treasury team to execute, renew, and settle loans.
• Support the completion of consolidated legal entity accounts to meet statutory requirements in multiple territories.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns for various jurisdictions.
• Work with the tax and control department to prepare journal entries for special projects.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A commitment of longer than one year is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

• Compensation: $18–$28 per hour, based on skills, experience, and academic standing.
