About the role#
The Behavioral Health Intern works alongside a Qualified Mental Health Professional to provide community-based support. This part-time, paid position focuses on assisting children, adolescents, and families through psychosocial rehabilitation and case management services.
What you'll do#
- Provide one-on-one psychosocial rehabilitation and skills training.
- Facilitate group sessions.
- Offer case management support to children, adolescents, and families.
- Conduct family engagement and community outreach services.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, Marriage and Family Therapy, Sociology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Familiarity with mental health, substance use, and recovery services.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking skills are preferred.
