About the role#
The Student Clerk provides essential administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the office. This is a paid, full-time summer 2026 internship for currently enrolled college students. Preference is given to students attending the University of Hawaii at Mānoa and those who qualify for Federal Work Study.
What you'll do#
- Perform data entry, filing, and maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and manage office correspondence.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare regularly scheduled reports and assist with data management in databases and spreadsheets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment.
- Greet visitors and assist with incoming and outgoing mail.
- Support team members with various administrative tasks, projects, and event execution.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student, ideally pursuing Business Administration, Communications, or Human Resources.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with office equipment including printers, copiers, and fax machines.
- Prior experience as an administrative clerk or in a related role.
Location & details#
- Location: Honolulu, Hawaii.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with shifts available from 9am to 12pm or 12pm to 4pm.
- Compensation: $16 per hour.
- Requirements: All candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening, including criminal and sex offender checks, and complete mandatory child protection training.
