About the role#
The Results Management Division of the Legal Affairs Department is seeking an intern to contribute to the development of a case law database related to the implementation of the World Anti-Doping Program. This role involves analyzing and summarizing Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rulings and other significant decisions, specifically those regarding athlete whereabouts. You will work under the supervision of the Associate Director of Results Management to monitor potential analytical violations and breaches of whereabouts obligations.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation, review, and tracking of Results Management correspondence to ensure compliance with applicable rules.
- Support the drafting and summarization of case decisions.
- Develop and update case studies and practical training materials for Results Management education.
- Review, organize, and summarize simple case files.
- Conduct legal research and prepare concise summaries to support the Legal Affairs team.
- Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of Results Management data.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a 2nd or 3rd year law student.
- A strong interest in the fight against doping.
- Ability to interpret, analyze, synthesize, and report complex information.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French, with additional proficiency in Spanish or German considered an asset.
- A strong work ethic characterized by dedication, rigor, perseverance, discretion, and organizational skills.
