About the role#
The Career Center Fellow for External Relations is a full-time, on-campus position at Wofford College. This fellowship offers a professional development opportunity for individuals interested in higher education, career development, and external relations. The role is designed as a one or two-year fellowship, with graduates from 2024 through 2026 encouraged to apply.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employers and alumni regarding engagement opportunities.
- Manage the Career Center's online alumni mentoring platform, including mentor recruitment, onboarding, and facilitating matches.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of career-focused events such as information sessions, networking events, and career fairs.
- Maintain accurate records of external partner interactions within the CRM database.
- Create and distribute communications to external stakeholders to promote upcoming opportunities.
- Identify and cultivate new employer relationships to expand student job and internship prospects.
- Provide on-site event support, including registration management and guest relations.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- 0 to 3 years of professional experience.
- Strong organizational abilities and high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Event planning experience is preferred.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.

- Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
