    About the role#

    Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to support water and wastewater plant construction projects. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Jacksonville, Florida, offered on a rolling basis.

    What you'll do#

    • Coordinate with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to assist in the planning, organization, and completion of assigned projects.
    • Review project plans and confer with management regarding project status.
    • Evaluate bids submitted by contractors.
    • Perform data entry and assist with daily administrative tasks.
    • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing company procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Contribute to team objectives as needed.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Ability to interpret project plans and specifications.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Commitment to maintaining safety standards on construction sites.

    • Location: Jacksonville, FL.
