The Construction Development & Environmental Intern joins the Experience & Facilities team to support initiatives across Western States. This role provides hands-on exposure to projects ranging from early site planning and construction execution to environmental compliance and facility sustainability. You will collaborate with project managers and internal stakeholders to maintain project documentation, track progress, and analyze data to improve operational workflows.
What you'll do#
- Assist with development and construction projects from planning through closeout, including scope support, scheduling, and coordination.
- Maintain project files, meeting notes, schedules, and status updates for project managers and facilities leaders.
- Support environmental compliance and stewardship, including data collection, audits, and tracking metrics like waste streams and soil management.
- Analyze and organize data related to facilities, construction progress, and environmental initiatives.
- Review project plans, track equipment specifications, and document technical requirements.
- Learn and utilize internal systems, including Microsoft Office tools and Procore, to support project reporting.
- Participate in jobsite activities to gain exposure to construction sequencing, safety practices, and contractor coordination.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Facilities Management, or related technical fields.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, stair climbing, and bending.
