About the role#
Vernon Health is seeking a part-time Nurse Intern to join the Nursing Services department, primarily within the Emergency Department. This role offers the opportunity to gain clinical experience in a rural hospital setting, working with diverse patients across various ages and acuity levels. Schedules are flexible to accommodate academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Support care for patients with varying disease processes and health needs.
- Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) with a rotation of every third weekend.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a nursing program at a recognized School of Nursing.
- Completion of at least one year of a two-year accredited program or three years of a four-year accredited program.
- Valid CPR certification.
