The Director of Student Affairs provides leadership for the student experience at Valor Christian High School. This role is responsible for cultivating a Christ-centered culture and overseeing the Student Affairs team, which includes Deans of Students, Christian Counseling and Wellness Services, Student Leadership, and Student Life. As a member of the Cabinet, the Director develops strategic initiatives to promote student growth, character formation, and engagement while ensuring operational excellence across the department.
What you'll do#
- Provide leadership, oversight, and coordination for all Student Affairs efforts.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, coaches, administrators, leadership, and parents to create an exceptional student culture.
- Oversee student culture, behavior and discipline, student leadership, and community gatherings.
- Create and manage a comprehensive calendar of student activities and events.
- Develop and maintain clear annual Operating Plans that include systems of assessment and reporting.
- Partner with admissions and enrollment teams to support applicant reviews, transitions, and retention efforts.
- Manage and steward the Student Affairs budget and provide regular reports to the Head of School.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Proven experience in educational or organizational leadership.
- Management and supervisory experience, preferably within an educational setting.
- A solid biblical and theological foundation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Alignment with the school’s Statement of Beliefs and Christian Community Policy.
