The Strategy, Analysis and Research Team (SART) provides strategic analysis and policy advice to the Regional Bureau for Africa. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to intellectual leadership on key development issues, including data analysis, strategic policy development, and knowledge production. The role is a full-time, 3-month position based in New York.
What you'll do#
- Analyze statistical data from various sources to report on development trends in Africa.
- Support the writing of reports, policy briefs, briefing notes, and talking points.
- Assist with event organization, including logistical support, outreach, and communication.
- Support general administrative activities within the unit.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in economics, development, or a related field.
- Current enrollment in a Master’s or Doctorate program in a relevant discipline, such as Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Statistics, Data Science, Business Administration, or Public Health.
- Previous work experience with data analysis and policy-related writing.
- Strong English language skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated experience in economic analysis is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex tasks under tight deadlines.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York, United States.
- Modality: On-site, five days per week.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship; however, a monthly stipend is provided to assist with basic daily expenses.
- Note: Interns are responsible for their own travel arrangements, visa requirements, and health insurance coverage.
