Ultradent Products, Inc. is seeking an engineering student to join the Automation Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team on projects involving mechanical and electrical design, controls, robotics, and data analytics.
What you'll do#
- Design and build fixtures, tooling, and mechanical components for automated manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and test control logic for automated systems.
- Prototype concepts using CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly lab equipment.
- Analyze production and test data to identify and drive process improvements.
- Support cross-functional projects with R&D and Sustaining Engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering degree program, specifically Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Ability to work on-site at the South Jordan, Utah facility.
- Preference is given to first- through third-year students who can commit to multiple semesters.
Location & details#
- Location: South Jordan, Utah.
- Modality: This is an on-site, paid position.
- Scheduling: The role requires 16–20 hours per week during the school year and full-time hours during the summer, with flexible scheduling available to accommodate academic commitments.
- Duration: Internships typically last six months to one year, with potential for extension.
