About the role#
The Information Services Client Support intern assists the Help Desk and Desktop Support teams. This role provides first-level support for hardware, computing devices, and enterprise applications for employees and contractors. Interns act as the primary point of contact for technical issues and assist with incident management processes.
What you'll do#
- Field incoming help requests via the Service Bar, telephone, email, and voicemail.
- Document end user identification information and specific problem details.
- Build rapport with customers while troubleshooting hardware, software, and mobile device issues.
- Prioritize and schedule support tickets, escalating to experienced technicians when necessary.
- Verify hardware assets assigned to clients and perform asset cleanup within ServiceNow.
- Assist with inventory management and software installation requests.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Expected graduation date of 2028 or later.
- Ability to maintain full-time student status, good academic standing, and the GPA required by your institution.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to protect highly sensitive and confidential information.
Location & details#
- Location: Tucson, Arizona (Downtown).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours per week during regular business hours, with the potential for up to 40 hours during summer and school breaks.
- Term: Rolling.
- Employment Status: Paid, temporary position.
