About the role#
This Fall 2026 co-op program provides hands-on experience in the design, testing, and documentation of mission-critical spacecraft avionics and electrical systems. You will work directly with mentors and cross-functional teams to contribute to hardware development, board bring-up, and system verification processes.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain comprehensive electrical engineering documentation, including schematics, interface control documents, and test procedures.
- Support hardware bring-up activities for avionics flight boards and ground support electronics, including power sequencing, signal integrity testing, and functional validation.
- Assist in the integration and testing of avionics subsystems, such as flight computers, communication systems, and sensor interfaces.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to design wiring harnesses and define electrical interface specifications.
- Develop test procedures and support the execution of environmental qualification tests, including thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, and electromagnetic interference testing.
- Participate in PCB design reviews to support layout analysis, component selection, and design for manufacturing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline at a four-year accredited university.
- Strong fundamentals in circuit analysis, digital logic, and analog electronics.
- Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and logic analyzers.
- Experience in the development, testing, or documentation of electrical or electronic systems for aircraft, spacecraft, or similar complex systems.
- Strong technical writing skills with high attention to detail.

- This is a full-time, on-site position located in either Denver, Colorado, or Long Beach, California.
- The term is for Fall 2026.
- This role is paid.
