AI & Automation Intern

About the role#

The AI & Automation Intern supports the Information Technology team at Trillium Flow Technologies. This full-time, paid summer 2026 internship provides hands-on experience with automation, artificial intelligence, data management, and enterprise systems. You will work alongside IT personnel and business stakeholders to identify process improvements, support technology implementations, and contribute to organizational efficiency.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the evaluation, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of automation and AI-driven solutions.
• Support database administration, reporting, and data analysis, including SQL query development, data validation, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in IT infrastructure projects, including hardware deployments, workstation setup, and software installations.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, network connectivity, printing, and user access issues while maintaining service request documentation.
• Collaborate with business users and the IT team to identify operational challenges and recommend technology-based solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business requirements.
• Preferred: Previous internship, academic project, or practical experience in IT, automation, AI, or data analytics.
• Preferred: Exposure to AI platforms, SQL, programming languages (such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or VBA), or technical support.
• Preferred: Familiarity with workflow automation platforms like Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, or UiPath.

• Location: Fresno, California (On-site).
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Physical requirements include occasional standing, walking, bending, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Work occurs in both office and manufacturing environments, where moderate noise levels may be present and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
