About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will gain practical experience in an actuarial function, with exposure to business operations, product development, financial reporting, and risk management. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office days typically required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
What you'll do#
- Compile data for experience analyses and prepare related reports.
- Assess current and new product designs for market feasibility.
- Price new and existing products to ensure division profit goals are met.
- Assist with quarterly ALM risk profiles and investment income budgets.
- Automate business processes by writing programs or macros.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student (Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior).
- Preferred majors include Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel or other spreadsheet applications.
- Knowledge of at least one computer programming language or Visual Basic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Locations: Cedar Rapids, IA; Baltimore, MD; or Philadelphia, PA.
