Student Associate - Summer Worker (Manufacturing)

About the role#

The Student Associate - Summer Worker program provides hands-on experience within the manufacturing and packaging industry. This role is designed to help students develop a business mindset and gain exposure to internal processes and culture. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position for Summer 2026.

What you'll do#

• Attend quality gemba walks to monitor product quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the Technical Manager, Process Engineer, and the management team.
• Provide project support for Global Performance System (GPS) pillars, including attending production and focused improvement meetings.
• Scan production jobs for color accuracy using ColorCert.
• Maintain GPS KPIs and loss charts for management reporting.
• Utilize the GlobalVision system to inspect finished products and support defect detection.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of new quality systems.
• Support the creation of Certificates of Analysis and customer specifications.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a college degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with an ability to work with data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented approach with effective organizational and time management skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functional roles.

• Compensation: Pay is based on academic standing (Freshman: $15.50/hr, Sophomore: $16.25/hr, Junior: $18.00/hr, Senior: $19.50/hr).
