The Music Department Summer Intern will support the Divisional Music Department during the Music Conservatory and Music Camp. This role involves working directly with the Divisional Music Director to facilitate summer programs, coordinate events, and provide supervision for students throughout the summer session.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Divisional Music Director to prepare all aspects of summer music programming.
- Plan and teach major classes, theory, technique, and elective courses.
- Serve as a counselor during the Music Conservatory, including assisting with student check-in and check-out procedures.
- Assist in planning devotional sessions, events, and activities.
- Support logistical operations, including meal service, facility clean-up, and chaperoning off-campus trips.
- Help coordinate finale performances, including the preparation of student awards and certificates.
- Assist with the administrative closing and filing of summer music programs.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or current enrollment in high school.
- Previous experience supervising or teaching children.
- Proficiency in performing and teaching a music discipline.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A willingness to participate in a wide variety of tasks and activities as assigned.
- Preferred majors include Art, Communications, Psychology, Human Resources, or Media Studies.

- Location: Canton, Massachusetts.
- Term: Summer 2026 (June 25, 2026 – July 18, 2026).
- Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid position ($15.00 - $25.00 per hour).
